Pokémon Trading Card Game Online tournaments allow players to compete in fun, 8-person single-elimination tournaments and earn amazing rewards in return. You can play using a variety of deck formats, giving you the opportunity to compete in any way you like. Everyone who competes in a tournament will earn rewards, regardless of where they finish in the tournament!

Players can access tournaments directly from the Pokémon TCG Online app. The desktop, iPad, and Android versions of the app all support tournament participation, so as long as you have an internet connection, you can start competing wherever you are, whenever you’re ready.

Instead of starting at a set date and time, these tournaments start as soon as 8 people have registered to play. Once a tournament is live, a new waiting list is started. This means that there are always new tournaments starting up, so you can start playing in new events whenever you want!

Rewards for top-ranked players include in-game items such as booster packs, Trainer Tokens, and Reward Chests. Rewards vary depending on the event, so be sure to check the tournament information panel before joining!

Each tournament requires Event Passes to participate. Event Passes can be obtained through the Daily Bonus, by playing in Versus mode matches, or as a random reward upon completion of tournament matches.

Tournaments are divided into three deck formats: Standard, Expanded, and Theme Deck. The first two formats follow the same deck construction rules as those used in Play! Pokémon live events. In the Theme Deck format, players must compete using a preconstructed theme deck.

• Standard: Decks follow the same deck construction rules as the Standard format of Play! Pokémon, which typically includes expansions released in the last two years.

• Expanded: Decks can contain cards from the series Black and White and later expansions.

• Theme Deck: Players may only use preconstructed theme decks.
